This half term we have been enjoying learning to play the ukulele in our music lessons. So far we have learnt the F, C and D minor chords. Both Mrs Cossavella and Mr Clayton have been extremely impressed with how the children in 6TC have been doing!
Today we had a visit from PC Rothery who came into school to speak to all the children in Year 6. This session forms part of our PSHE curriculum and shows children the issues and dangers surrounding mobile phones, social media and sharing of images and videos online.
The children watched the video, Alright Charlie, which is available on YouTube should any parents wish to watch the video in order to support their children with these conversations at home.
Over the last few weeks we have been visiting Allerton High School for science lessons. This is a super experience for the children and is always really popular with the year 6’s!

In art this term we are looking at synesthesia and the work of Vassily Kandinsky. We started by responding to pieces of music with mark making on the page. We thought about the different colours, patterns and images appear in our minds when we heard the music and we replicated them to make art.

Hello everyone! Happy New Year and welcome back to everyone in 6TC. We have had a busy week with lots going on, not to mention the snow!
Our first library session of 2024!
Today we enjoyed an online propaganda workshop as part of our WWII topic work. All the children engaged brilliantly and asked lots of thoughtful questions!
Once again our trip to Eden Camp was a tremendous success. All the children had an amazing time and we can’t wait to go back again!
This week we had a fantastic time saying hello to our buddies and meeting their parents at their ‘Box Exhibition’.
Our buddies had each made a box and had filled them with things about them: photos, toys, drawings, all sorts!
Thank you so much to our buddies and their parents for sharing this special morning with us. We really are part of an ACE community!
Our children at ACE are so incredibly enterprising! A talent show is being organised and the first committee meeting took place today! So exciting! Watch this space for more information…
We have had a fantastic first week back here in 6TC spending time getting to know each other and the school routines.
